ABASCO was established in 1975 as a privately held company based in Houston, Texas, and was initially focused upon improved oil spill and industrial skimmer packages, which expanded to dispersant spray systems, other mechanical equipment, and spill response vessels. The geomembrane division was soon created to provide a wide variety of containment booms, temporary storage devices and other products utilizing specialty fabrics. As the company expanded, the products covered the full range or recovery, containment and storage applications required for emergency response by spill responders, industrial firms and first responders.

Containment Booms

The complete range of Conventional Boom; Air Inflated Booms; Self Inflating Booms; Harbor Booms; Shoreline Booms and Permanent Booms supported by powered or manual Boom Reels; Anchor Packages and ancillary items as required by the boom type and application.

Temporary Oil Storage

ABASCO offers a complete range of Open Top, Onion Tank and Berms to meet industrial, oil spill and first responder applications.

Offloading / Transfer Pumps

Recovery Pumps are available to be mounted on skimmers, hydraulic power units or free standing with various sizes of Transfer Pumps available in either diesel or electric powered packages.

Response Boats

The company can provide simple Jon Boats to heavy duty industrial Oil Spill Response Vessels (OSRV) for inland, coastal or limited offshore applications.

Spill Response Kits / Sorbents / Soil Bioremediation

A variety of Oil, Chemical and Universal Response Kits; Remediation Products; Organic Sorbents or Oil, Chemical and Universal Spill Sorbents are available from our Houston warehouse.

Training / Commissioning / Installation
